Has anyone had any cracking of the Michelin Pro 3 Race Tyres. I’ve only done just over 100 TT miles on these tyres? So few miles infact that there are only four small cuts in only the rear tyre and also they have only being pumped up to a 100psi. :x
Still going at fifty! But for how mutch longer

Do you wash your bike with Muc Off or use cleaning agent? Some attack and artificial age the elastomer, hence the cracking as would excessive exposure to sunlight and ozone i.e. living near the coast.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Not had a problem with cracking - had a pair on a lightly used pair of wheels for 12 months now - only done maybe 250 miles but look like new.
it's a hard life if you don't weaken.0 -
Mine split through on their first outing0

No mine have lasted since late last season on my summer wheels. A few cuts, but still going fine.0

Mine have been doing good for the last 3000 miles but I'm starting to get more frequent punctures. There is a significant wear band around both tyres so they're up for replacement soon. Most probably with another set of Pro3Race.
Lots of small cuts around the tyre which is not uncommon.Shazam !!0 -
I used PR3 for the first time this year, the front tyre lasted 8 miles before it punctured/split the wall but was poss down to flint/glass. Replaced it with new one and rode about 300 miles and the rear punctured! I was riding the next day so I replaced the rear with an old trusty Krylion, the next day the front PR3 punctured
All PR3 now 'binned' and trusty new Krylions back on, CRC have them for £19.99 at the moment. 'why did I change,' you ask? Because when I wanted new summer tyres I could not get Krylions only PR3.
NEVER again :?

got lots of little cuts and cracks on mine, but not had one of those unmentionable things since just after I put them on so I'm soldiering on with them for a while, done 1500 miles plus on them so far."The only absolute statement is that everything is relative" - anon0
