Bottom Bracket

Guy's, I know it's difficult but........on average, with all the right care, no over zealous washing, dry miles only....how many miles should I expect to get out of a bottom bracket before it would need replacing? Approx?

    How long is a piece of string? FWIW one wet winter can finish a BB whereas I have others that are 6 years old. The latest design of external BBs definitely don't last as long IME.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
