A the moment i have Continental Speed kings and these are not very hard wearing at all so im after somethng a bit tougher. Also im after something that is fairly puncture resistant. I currently have some slime tyre liners but all they seem to be doing is cutting my tubes to shreds. I tend to ride 50/50 road / off road adn will be happy to spend upto £20 per tyre.

I have used a few tyres over the past year and found the continentals to be very fast wearing, killed a mountain king in 2 months. I ran a Panaracer XC Pro from October to May and found this to be hard wearing, good on puncture resistant, good on a lot of surfaces and pretty fast rolling. I am just about to buy a new one for the back. Shop around and you can get them for about £20 quid don't be fooled by the cheaper tyre which doesn't have the Pro after it. I think the cheaper one is a single compound and not sure on it's wear etc but othes may know.

Currently have speed kings on my new bike, suprisingly good, but I think they are only £12.00 odd each?

Have panaracer pro on the others but never seen them for anything lower than mid 20's, well worth the spend.

Fire XC Pro's. Shop around and you'll get a good price.

Other than that, this should be in the buying advice section not tech.

I think for the type of tyre you are lookin for your best bet is to find something suitable for the trails/ roads you are riding and either use tubeless with slime to stop punctures or slime innertubes...
