Sidi size question

I have just purchased a pair of Sidi Genius 5's and wondered how much give they will have in the top strap after a few uses?
I know it may sound a bit of a daft question as you want them fitting snug, but the problem I have is that I wear a 1/3 inch insert in my right shoe (I have one leg shorter than the other following an op after an injury years back).
I have always in the past worn Shimano shoes and they accommodated the insert fine, whereas with the Sidi's I am left with only a couple of click strap lengths spare and they are a touch tight around the top.
I did consider the Mega option but figured I would have the reverse issue there, so really I just need to know if they will give a little, which should be enough and how reliable is the top strap long term under strain?
Cheers in advance for any input

IME there's very little 'give' in Sidi shoes - that's why they last so long due to quality materials and construction. The replacement soft instep strap might be a little longerMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
