1" MTB Disc Forks

Hi,
attempting to upgrade an old Specialized Rockhopper (94' I guess) that currently has a 1" threaded headset, and forks with cantilever mounts but no disc mounts.
Would like to upgrade to have a disc brake on the font wheel (the original wheel has already been replaced with a disc compatible hub).
Can't seem to find any 1" forks with disc mounts (threaded or ahead - I don't mind changing the headset type to ahead).
Anyone know where to find some 1" MTB disc compatible forks??
Thanks.
Jules

Marzocchi can supply forks with a 1" steerer. talk to your LBS as it will be to order."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks Nick,
I can check that. But it would be nice to have a simple solution, i.e. rigid forks, off-the-shelf.
Any other suggestions are welcome.

Try your LBS they might be able to oblige with a pair of steel black rigid forks.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

your other bet will be popping in to your LBS and seeing if they have anything.
but dont hold your breath as there is very little out there for 1" bikes. As 1" bikes tend to be the very very low end bikes now."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

OK, thanks. I also saw the exotic forks too, but as you might guess, the bike isn't worth spending so much. So I'll check the bike shops and see what they might have.
I wonder has anyone ever tried to have a disc brake mount welded to some forks before??
Cheers,

It worked, but don't know if it's safe to do that on the fork because most of the
braking is done by the front brake, so I'm not sure that the fork can handle that stress.0
