hi i have a GT Avalanche Disc 1.0 (08), when you are pedaling the bike goes "click click click" as the pedals rotate, i have replaced the pedals with dmrs v8's and sprayed everywhere with tf2 lube, also i have stood up and it still does it, when you are off the bike i have pulled and wriggled everything but nothing just when you are pedaling
any help please
thanks

lose/warn BB.
Oh and spraying everything with TF2 is not a good idea."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

thanks for the reply, the bike has not been used "that much" and there is zero play on the crank, ill check all the nuts etc,
is this due to it being a cleaner?0 -
might be might not be.
without seeing (with hands one can not say)
LBS time or a person who knows."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

My bb on the avalanche was on it's way out without play.
Now the second one is also on it's way.
Best thing is get an external one fitted, should last longer.0 -
I have an Avalanche 2.0 and I too get the click, click, click....
Its mainly when I am really pushing hard i.e. in a high gear but lower speed so i'm putting more weight / pressure on it.
Definately not the peddles though.
How much is a new bb likely to cost? Could I buy and fit myself (given that I don't have any specialist tools - would be willing to buy but then obviously don't know what i'm doing...)0 -
Maybe this is a common problem with the GT Avalanche 2008 as i too have the same "clickety click" when exerting pressure on pedals. :?0

Ring a couple of dealers and get the tutorial of the park tools site, or but their big blue book part 2, you'll need a crank removal tool for starters.0 -
