Hi there looking at getting a new jersey and maybe a new set of bibs
I've seen the espoir jersey by Mavic which looks very smart, but has
anyone got any real experience of their quality?

Adidas stuff was made under licence by Mavic until this year so it should be pretty good.0

I got hold of an espoir jersey the other week while in France. I have so say I am seriously impressed, I think it's my new favourite jersey It's very comfortable (less of a nylon feel than many jerseys) and some nice details such as zip cover on the neck. It's been very good in the warm weather as it has good venting under the arms. Sizing is a bit on the small size. I'm normally an L in Assos, but might go up a size to XL next time. I think for just over 40 quid it's very good value. I've started looking at the rest of the range on CRC. There's a lot of nice stuff!0

I have a Mavic Notch jersey for MTBing, it's OK but the material seems to catch easily and looks shabby after only 3 rides and I don't like the collar much (seem to flop inwards and irritate the front of my neck with the zip down a bit). Was tempted to try the Espoir for road rides but don't really need another jersey and the collar looked high to.0

Their prices, on CRC anyhow, are up there with Assos on the jerseys anyhow, just hope they can substantiate that quality wise.0

I was given an Espoir for my birthday. I was a bit wary at first because of the sizing - I'm not especially big but the XL was felt a bit like a sausage skin on me at first. That said, I've been riding it all this week in the heat and mugg and found it very good indeed. Exceptionally comfortable and well ventilated. Doesn't feel too tight on the bike at all.0

I've got the sprint and it is very comfortable, appears well made and has a similar sizing to the other jerseys I have (Endura and Altura).
Very pleasant in the recent heat and the zip cover on the neck is a nice touch.0 -

Don't you find the logo looks like Morrisons though?"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Yeah, but that's my supermarket of choice
Giantmancp - I agree on some of the pricing. The espoir is only £40, and it's good, so I wouldn't want to bother with any of the more expensive ones. It's only a jersey after all.0
