With my new bike (Charge Duster) I'm beginning to do a lot more varied riding than I would have done before and I'm beginning to regret buying another hardtail so I began looking at a few lightish full suss options.
I have to chance to pick up a superlight '03 model at a bargain price and would sell the duster frame to recoup some of the cost.
What is the general opinion of the Superlight?
Will it take aggressive XC riding OK? No major freeride/downhill stuff but some reasonably technical single track etc.

And how does the Blur (original one before there were multiple Blur's) compare to the superlight, both weight wise and type of riding?0

The original blur has the 1st gen VPP, the superlight a single pivot and do pedal and behave differently. Not too sure on the weights.0

Am I right in saying that the blur is slightly more hardcore?
What are the advantages/disadvantages of each pivot design?
Weightweenies lists the blur as being around 2-300g heavier0 -
VPP can behave differently through the sus stroke - and if done well, will minimize pedal kickback deep in the travel, yet provide the good pedalling characteristics earlier on
Testing is the only way yo ensure it works for you.0
