Where did you disappear to last night? I had a rather amusing mechanical...

I like the new kit but not as much as the black bt as you say, cooler for the summer...

I realized as soon as I got on my bike at the start that I was going to be in trouble. Just over-training, lack of sleep and food. I thought I'd try and hang on as long as I could, but I just didn't have the leg(s).

    Limped home after lap 2.

    What happened to you?

Heh heh, I fettled my bars and shifters on Sunday so the top of the bar was flat. However, it became quite apparent that the LBS mechanic fitted them as he did for a reason...

Going over that really rough surface near the end of the lap (on the right hand bend after a dip) the shifters slipped right down and jammed the brakes on. Unfortunately I was near the front of the group but fortunately everyone avoided me!

Due to the curvature of the bar the clamp of the shifters did not have enough purchase. Last time I trust myself over the LBS mechanic :o

It was quite a fast night last night though, shame, I was feeling good :(

I know the spot you mean. It's where my teeth nearly fall out every lap.

Cervelo - perhaps the nicest kit in cycling this year. And by far the ugliest helmets. EVER.

The first team kit that I would seriously consider buying - would go well with my white R3!
  • I don't get why last year Caisse d' epargne wore completely black kit, they must have been completely boiling, i don't know if they're wearing it this year though.

Massive improvement on the last one.

    Still looks awful though. :|

They are claiming a saving of 10 watts over a standard road jersey for this new kit.
Is that really possible, seems a massive improvement if true?
It must be like a skinsuit.

I agree with Moomaloid, black kit is far nicer.
New one will get mixed up with Saxo & Quickstep in overheard shots

Steven Fry and QI reckon it makes no difference. Indeed, black kit may be better at absorbing your body heat away from you too. Of course they will be wearing base layers anyway...I think the black kit looks way cooler - goes with the forks and carbon rims on my C40HP!

I think QI must be wrong on this - its always the black shorts that are the hottest on me in the sunshine. Light coloured tops just dont soak up the heat as much.

Love the Catlike helmet wish I could justify the purchase of one. Doubt it'd pass the SO as there are 5 of things hanging in the shed.

Are you allowed to wear Cervelo test kit if you don't ride a Cervelo?

It really is the most expensive kit in the world. £75 for a jersey + £800 for an S1 frame

Nett cost £955 for jersey and shorts
