Hi,

I bought a pair of Pike 08 454 dual air Uturn forks from ebay. When I received them there was a little oil in the box. It looks like it has leaked from the cap on the left (UTurn) side.

I have read the manual and watched the video on the Sram website, they both deal with a complete service, I don't have time for this at the moment.

Does anyone know if I can top up the oil?
Where does it go?

Thanks!

I'd get them serviced rather that doing a rushed job yourself. You want to check there isn't a crush washer missing.

I think I have found the answer on TF Tuned web site:
    http://tftunedshox.co.uk/faq/rock_pike_ ... ation.aspx

"My U-Turn air fork leaks oil from under the U-Turn adjuster cap. What's this?
This only occurs when the bike is upside-down or on its side, when the lube from the lowers escapes through the top. During service, we fit a modified O-ring to reduce this significantly"

At least I know what to do now, just a lower leg service and replace the oil. Not the complete air chamber service.
