My rear wheel is a Record hub (2008) built onto an Ambrosio excellight rim with Sapim cx ray spoke and Sapim alloy nipples.
Its just started creaking when both in and out of the saddle and when I power of free wheel.
I know its th e wheel as when I put a different one in it goes away.
I've stripped and regreaed the hub, I've sprayed the spoke eyelets with WD40 and it still does it.
Its not done many miles, I would guess at around 500 max.
Its driving me wild as I hate adnormal noises on my bike.
Any ideas?

Bearing failure has "cracking" sound but your rebuild should have eliminated bearing problems.

Creaking? Spokes moving will creak. Seems like only 3 options left,
1.the freehub needs a service but with only 500miles seems unlikely
    2. The hub flange has a cracked spoke hole
    3. the wheel need retensioning. its possible that the wheel is still true just that all the spokes have slackened off. This would be my first check.

Maybe someone else has experience of alloy nipple wheel builds and can give better pointers to a solution.

    regards Davy

I've just checked the flanges and they seem fine, I cant see any form of cracking.
The freehub bearings run smooth as.
Spoke tension is high on these wheels, I may get my wheel builder to check them over though.

Could it just be the axle / skewers creaking in the dropouts ?
Try lightly greasing the contact points and do the skewer up a little tighter.
Just a guess but it costs nothing to try :D
