Schraeder Valves

How do you pump up innertubes with Schraeder valves? I have tried, My friends have tried, Please help! :?

    :?: Are you sure it's a Schraeder valve? :shock:
    ...unusual on a road bike. (assuming it's a road bike you're referring to, as you've posted this on the Road>Road Beginners forum).

    Attach the pump head and use the lock to stop the head coming off and it forms a seal.
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    Attach a pump made for Schrader valves. Pump. Done.

    Remember to take the cap off the valve.

    I suspect you mean a Presta valve. Having had a call from a new cyclist this w/e with the same problem, are you unscrewing the small nut on the end of the valve before putting the pump on?

    Yes! Sorry I did mean Presta valves I'm new at this sort of thing!!
