I got a nice evening planned with the gf down the beach after i finished work about 9ish, we were going down to watch the sunset with a wee fire etc so id worked flat out in the kitchen (im a kitchen porter) did 3hours, no break and flat out, i got out just after 9 met the gf then 10mins later a load of her mates turn up, she then told me she'd invited them out earlier but about half 9 we'd head off together this turned into half 10 because one mate had gone to see some guys and the other was still with us and she didnt want to leave him alone, the other mate had said she'd be 10mins, an hour later she came back, so ive just trudged back home with her, pissed off as hell and she has the cheek to say its my fault for it and not to have a go at her mate for fu**ing up my evening!

Seen the aurora once from Sheffield - fantastic! The noctilucent clouds are nearly as good (I posted a thread last week on them with some pics)

Caused by very high clouds reflecting sunlight, even though the sun is well down. Rare.

Saw the Nothern Lights, can't spell the latin name, when I was staying at Princetown YH many moons ago. Totally freaked out at seeing it so far south.
