edited June 2009 in MTB general
Just read latest Dirt and a good point was put over so in true plageristic (I can't spell either or either depends how you pronounce it). That means it's not an exact copy but ellaborated on somewhat by myself.

What is the point in having 70kg machine that you can't peddle to the shops?

What is the point in having a 1kg cardon machine that breaks bumping up a kerb?

What is the point in having a MTB whe you only do one side of a mountain when you are scared to peddle up or go down?

What is the point of riding a MTB when you dont get out of the saddle?

What is the point in sticking to just one style of ridding when you can have it all if you really want......can of worms

What is the point?

Thank you and enjoy the chicken, I will be here all week.

does that make your opinion equally as stupid then? this isn't a dig or a negative reply by the way, just an interest is all.

Whats the point in owning a bike at all?

Whats the point in getting out of bed?

Whats the point in being alive?

Whats the point of Dirt Magazine?

Another ground breaking piece of journalism from Dirt Magazine.

almost certainly, when you think about the eco-philisophical-aty of ecno-bio-ethcentricity of dirt magazine, and the blah blah blah, blah blah blah of ..............
in the end you decide its all just a bunch of rubbish, no ones opinion maters but your own, and all that really maters in life are:
    food
    sleep
    mtb-ing
    and your spiritual health,
you realise that you should just give up

Everything in moderation ... except beer
Beer in moderation ... is a waste of beer

If riding an XC race bike is like touching the trail,
then riding a rigid singlespeed is like licking it
... or being punched by it, depending on the day

I don't see the point of what Dirt has written really.

Does a 70Kg bike exist? I doubt it, considering they sell themselves as a DH mag a lot of their readers will have bikes that are completely USELESS at riding to the shops.

Second point, Same, only the opposite.

As for the rest, it's a fricking hobbie, a pastime, a fricken laugh. I certainly don't feel presured to do anything else other than what I want to do a mag that takes really nice pics and then machine-guns the words randomly all over the page so as to not mess the pretty pics up.

Whilst I'm in the mood for a rant, what's with MBUK this month, I don't have the mini-artical to hand but seems to me they were taking the piss out of people who ride a trail centres, but wear knee/shin pads and use crud catchers. WTF? Don't they know their readership?

at last someone gets the point, the point there is no point, they are opinions, mags, pretty pikchaz and that.lol

I know what mean about MBUK sometimes.......sometimes wish I aint bought it but then I only ever read it on the loo...dont ask why I have no idea.
trailcentres I believe are very good, never been to one yet.

Any threads deliberately created to be pointless would be making a point, so they'd be disqualified
