I just bought a Specialized FSR XC Expert, which is way better than my previous Kona Fire Mountain. I'm worried about the quality quickly degrading, like my previous bike.

How can i keep my bike in top condition? :?
And any tips on maintenance or checks i could do to make sure everything is working up to scratch?
