I will be in Canada as of next Wednesday for six weeks, and on my travels through the country I will be visiting Whistler Bike Park and The Sunpeaks Resort near Kamloops BC http://www.sunpeaksresort.com/summer/bi ... index.aspx , has anyone on the forum had any Experience of the parks mentioned that could possibly pass on some trails info, like what are the good/bad trails.....

TIA..

i have been to whistler 3 times in the last 12 months and will be back in september for 3 weeks,, there are so many great trails to name crank it up b line karatemonkey to name a few blue a line ninja couga dirtmirchant freight train to name a few blacks.. nearly all the trails in the bike parks good even the green ones...
whistler also has amazing xc trails comfortably numb, young lust bigkahuna kill me thrill me a river runs through it, cut yer bars danmal, you wont get bored in whistler the riding there is second to none, it really is the mecca,...
who you going with i strongly recomend bear back biking see sig they really good there prices are reasonable and they provide you with guide who help coach you...
    hope this helps

Kamloops has some great riding from what I hear but not sure asbout the ski resort itself in terms of ride levels.

If I may say this as someone who has skied there though - it aint worth it - try Silver Star for skiing over Kamloops - steeper, more varied and generally the better resort with a small town niche fit to go with it - its also a great place for a summer ride camp (dh oriented over xc admittedly).

Kamloops skiing is flattish cruisy blues which Silver Star does better with the advantage there is somewhere to progress to - Sun Peaks has some ok blacks but no doubles diamonds worthy of the name.

I instruct in Silver Star and have skied Sun Peaks - I know what I speak of.....

@ Delcol, not booked with anyone, gonna hire the gear at Whistler/Kamlops when I arrive there. My Mrs. and I are driving from Vancouver to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, taking in numerous stops along the 1,900km route, I just happened to add Whistler and kamloops to the route. (Coincidental...Hmmm..perhaps....:wink: 8) 8) )

@ Paul, only hitting the bike trails at Kamloops, not the Piste.... man i am bad enough on 2 wheels, God knows what I would be like on Ski's

thanks for all the info... :D
