Hi, i am currently on a 54cm Lemonde Etape (well, fairly sure anyway). Am looking to buy a new bike as a 'summer bike' and would like it to have similar geometry to my current bike. However, since lemonde seem to be out of business now i and the bike is quite old i can't seem to find the measurements anywhere, can anyone help me out? ( I would measure it with a tape measure but unfortunately the bike is on the otherside of the country from me at the moment).

I would say that if you're not even sure thats it's a 54, well, hold off a bit until you can find out.

There used to be an archive part of the site. Can't seem to find it now.

My Zurich is a 54 though I would think that may be different.

    Facebook? No. Just say no.
  • Hi Joey, I have a lemond myself and have found a catalogue from 04.

If your etape is a 53 it and has the sloping to tube geometry (which I am sure it will) it will have a top tube length of 533, with an effective top tube length of 545mm. This is the measurement to go on when comparing bikes.

Personally I am 5.9 in height and the 53 fits me fine. The next size up is a 55 which had an effective top tube of 565. When i tried one of those i was far too stretched out.

Hope this helps if you want a full break down email me.
