Reba or Fox F100?

I'm looking to replace the sick fork on my 2005 stumpjumper HT for XC, enduros and marathons, thinking of either a 2008 reba or a 2008 F100 in normal QR dropout style. Anyone able to compare the two to give any advice? Not too worried on price differences, just performance, Cheers

i haven't ridden either of these. But I have just bought a pair of 09 sid race forks. These are amazing! I'd heartily recommend them for the riding that you're asking about. Seriously well controlled and not at all flexy like the old ones!0

Sid Race are on Merlin for £340, a very good buy at that price, better than both the fox F100 and the Reba....
And they're under 1.5kgs!0 -
Anyone know how tough the sid races are? I've done a few drops on mine but i'm a little precious about them...0

I've got an '09 Reba SL, and I love it, perfect for XC, nice and light, not ridden a Fox though, so can't compare.
These type of posts always end up in a fanboi contest
Need to find someone who has ridden both.0 -
If getting an RS, worth going for the Black Box damping (especially if considering a fox).0

I have the '09 Reba Race on my steed and is real nice. I am a heavy rider as well and cannot fault it.
I have just converted from a headshok which I thought was real nice and before thqat a set of Fox 100s. Out of all three just love the race. i suppose the cost of these compared to the Fox can make the difference!I don't mind what they say... as long as they say its enormous0 -
I've got an 08 Reba SL on my Duster and while it is a good fork, it just doesn't seem as plush as the various Fox's I've ridden in the past.
like sonic says if you go Reba get this years for the improved damping, otherwise Fox I'd say.0 -
I had Fox F100RLs on my 2008 Epic (since stolen). These were great, required almost no setup and felt perfect.
I have 2009 Reba SLs on the Commencal Super 4.2 I bought to replace the Epic. These are fine and very tunable but being dual air they're a bit of a faff to set up right, and you really do have to spend time setting them up. They're great when they're tuned right, but sadly I managed about one ride on mine when tuned before the dust seal blew off whilst cleaning.
The Rebas are now back with RockShox via Merlin and I'm seriously considering just getting some F100s again...0
