Right, i've had a search through the forum and can't find anything that helps but, if i've overlooked something, i'd appreciate a link to the right place. If not i'll start my babbling...

I have an old set of Hope C2s on my bike and am planning a trip over to Ft. Billy in the not-too-distant future. As I imagine it to be a bit brake heavy i'm planning getting new pads before i go and it's been a while since they were replaced. I'm looking for something that is going to get me stopped as best possible and sintered seems to be the way to go but i have a feeling they generate too much heat to be used on an old closed system... am i just making this up or is it based in fact??? Also, I remeber seeing some dual compound pads (in this months MBUK?) but can't remember what they were called can anyone help?

Any words of advise / loudly shouted opinions would be very welcome!

Thanks

organic for dry conditions, Sintered for wet.

but yes too much heat can cause you issues as seen on the old Minis where they did the Alpin kit for them after they were over heating.

Phenolic inserts for the alloy pistons IIRC.

Just dont expect organics to last too many runs.

I didn't read this months MBUK but I wouldn't mind betting they where Ashima SOS pads? Sintered organic sintered.

i think a few manufacturers are doing SOS pads now, seems to be a growing trend.

What about these? anyone tried them Kevlar compound seems an interesting idea. plus 45 day use satisfaction guarantee, can't be that bad eh?
    Fancy a brew?
