Hi all,
as per ttle, have no pressure in my left leg on my old Sid xc's, can pump them up to pressure but first real pressure down on the forks and they loose all air,
Am i right in thinkingthis is an O-ring issue or is it a little more complicated than that??

also, on the subject of O-rings, are they Special ones or would you be able to use some out of say a Box of multisized O-rings from the local Wholesalers?? (like the ones for screws, bolts, washers etc. but for O-rings?)

Many thanks in Advance!
Timmo.

Could be from the top cap, or main seals.

Are they hydra air? Have a look here anyhow?

i would get the correct ones as you dont know how the multi box ones will react to the sus fluid.

but you need to check were they are leaking first.

Valve or seals or O rings.

  • thanks guys!
top cap is New as i replaced it a coupl eof weeks ago after the valve sheared off,
afaik they are hydra air, will nip down the lbs tomorow and natter with my bike mech! need some of their home brewed cider and some of the beer thy get brewed for them anyways so ideal excuse!

i figured the seals may need to be different for the use of the fluid in the same way i need specal ones for my car as it runs on LHM just thought if there is a way to save a few bob then they might be it! (crc a o-ring kit is £21 and the box's of assorted bits are £6 each down the whole salers! )
but better to be safe than sorry hey!

Most lbs shops down this way just send them off to tf tuning anyway.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
