Riight, hoping someone can give me a definite answer on this..

Applied for this at work back in January and had heart set on Cube LTD Race which was £900. There were some serious cock-ups in the admin part apllying for this and by the time it got sorted my company stopped doing it and I was told I would have to wait till the when the scheme started again in a few months time

Roll on June and finally got it all sorted, should have voucher this week and still went with the £900 option. Only recently just found out that the Cube has shot up to £1050

Question is will Halfords let me dish out £150 of my own money towards it if I eplain this dilemma??

I can't see why not.. you'll need to talk to the Halfords Manager most probably and see if they'll invoice your firm for £1000 and you put in the rest.. its a small difference so I can't see why they wouldn't

I've just done something similiar with my scheme, however it was through an independent bike shop so it was a little easier..

I used a £1000 voucher and paid the rest myself when I bought my Orange. The shop put the value of the bike as £1000 when I applied for the voucher though so if you already have a voucher for £900 then that's the most you'll get on the scheme. I didn't get the Orange from Halfords either. No harm asking. If they help you out it's because they want to do you a favour, not because they have to.

Thanks for the replies. Just that it stated pretty clearly in the T&Cs that you couldn't do it.

Hi,

I was told at 3 Halfords stores that I couldnt add cash to my voucher.
Something to do with 'joint ownership' of the bike (you and your company).

Many people at work were told the same.
