Marin Mount Vision 2008 - CREAK!!!

Hi all,

I have a MV08 and it is started to creak a lot. It has been getting worse and worse but now is just annoying.

I can get it to creak most if I sit on the bike and push forward and back against the handle bars. It sounds like it is coming from the QuadLink but maybe that is just the frame amplifying it.

Anyone got any advice on how to get rid of this...

    have you tried greesing the seat post / sadle rails?

    Don't just tighten it up, clean the underside of your seat and the rails, add a bit of grease and retighten.

    Bugged the hell out of me....till I did the above...now OK :D

    wow - seemed to work - how can the seat-rails make such a noise???!!!??!!

    I have finally solved the creak on mine. I first tried to solve it by swapping the saddle for a Fizik Gobi XM. I think this did get rid of a squeak but not the creak. I then thought it was coming from the rear wheel quick release so bought Hope QR skewers. Still a creak!!! Yesterday I fitted a Thomson Elite in-line seat post instead of the WTB carbon one. Creak gone :D

    just sorted the creak on my maiin it was rhe link arms comeing loose.
