Will a recent Campagnolo Record Group Set with Ultra Torque Carbon Crank with English thread fit a 2008 Scott Addict R4? It currently has Shimano Ultegra SL fitted to it throughout? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Nap. The Scott has Ksyrium Elite wheels on it that obviously has a Shimano cassette fitted to it so will I have to change the wheels or hubs on the bike? Please excuse my ignorance as this is all quite new to me.

If fitting 10 speed, you could fit a Shimano-spline, Campagnolo-spaced cassette (£35) or for 11 speed, go the whole hog and replace the freehub (£50) with your choice of cassette.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

+1 - Marchisio do these cassettes through Pearson IIRC

What BB does the R4 have? What from I've seen it can have either a BSA thread or require push in bearings.

If it has a BB with BSA bearing it will be simple enough to swap the crankset and BB over. However if it takes push in bearings you will need to get the special campag cups, which are (or were) hard to get.

I spoke to the dealer who sold my bike and they said it had an integrated BB whatever that means and I wouldn't be able to fit Campagnolo gear on the frame, only Shimano. He said he'd call Scott for me to find out for sure but as yet hasn't come back to me. If it has push in bearings are these difficult to get out or is there a risk of damaging the frame getting tham out? If I can only fit Shimano, I may put Dura Ace 7800 on it but if I upgrade the chainset I'd have to put in a 7800 BB to match the crank wouldn't I?

The 2009 R4 is not BB30, it takes standard threaded cups / BB so you need to check the spec. FWIW even if it was a BB30 integrated design then press-in cups for Campagnolo are available.

There's a few versions of the R4 knocking about though - the one with an ISP takes a normal BB, the one with a normal seatpost takes a integrated BB.
