I'll be in London later this month, staying in Greenwich area. I never usually take the car but, as I have stuff to move for family, I will have to this time. The bike therefore will be going on the roof.
So for the first time ever I'll have the bike in London. For two days I'll be left to my own glorious devices and have a chance to explore SE London or the countryside beyond the grim metropolis.
So. Has anyone got any urban pubs or cafes in SE London they'd recommend? Further afield isn't a problem either (not Cornwall obviosuly - just bikeable further afield. )
I've also said I wouldn't mind cycling out to Kent and meeting up for an evening meal so anywhere within 40-50 miles of M25 is a goer.
Any favourites?

What part of SE London you looking at exploring???
To be honest mate if it's exploring by bike just be ready to be carved up by aggressive off their face white van man, black cabbies, chav's (that are usually tooled up) and illegal drivers who have no licence and no sense of the highway code!
Try get out to the Surrey Hills. Go to top of Box hill and use cafe there. There is never redemption, any fool can regret yesterday...
