For some reason I really fancy buying either the England or the Union Jack tops from foska.

Question is.. would I look a complete berk wearing one...

..or just a bit of a berk?

Not as much of a berk as the 11 playing cricket yesterday
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

No, go buy one! I'd love one but have to slim down first. My husband's promised me an England top when I can get one to fit .

My husband has the loose MTB top and the close fitting roadie top with the Scottish Saltire - and the socks, running vest, running hat and water bottle from Foska (I only have the St George water bottle at the moment and can't get England socks for size 5 feet  ). He loves wearing his Saltire and no, doesn't look like a twerp!

    Go treat yourself :D .

    1) buy top

    2) wear top

    3) go to trail

    4) smoke every other rider into next wednesday

    5) top is now cool

    Hi,

Wear it with pride. Why Not?

PS:- I am a Scot that can't comprehend why the English seem to have so much trouble with having pride in their own nationality. Would anyone from any other country even ask the question?
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

national colours are a funny thing. Welsh nationalists are regarded as patriots, Scottish nationalists are regarded as patriots, English nationalists are regarded as nazis... ;)

No way would you look like a berk, DF. In the Union top you'd look like a spice girl!

I suggest painting a little England flag on each cheek* to enhance the effect. You have to do it now - didn't you read the comments from the Scotch** person?

    *Whichever.

I have nothing wrong with pride in my country, lol. I am quite patriotic despite everything in the news.

I'm not a footie fan so the three lions put me off slightly, apart from that I thought it was a cool design

DF, we need links to be able to judge the tops 'berk' quotient.

I used to wear this one, as it's stylish and cool...

I reckon this is a better looking top from impsport ...1730.jpg
The Foska one looks awfully plain. The Union flag design actually looks OK, but I'd rather see it as a jersey and not as a drawing.

Not in Winchester they're not - I appear to be the only one!

NOTE: This post, rather than being contradicting, probably goes some way towards actually proving Crapauds point!

I say wear it. Sure you'll look daft, it is an England top after all. Now, if it was one of those Irn-Bru ones that Foska do - different story! It could be a close call between it or a Celeste Bianchi jersey next. :P

Not a berk. But I woudn't stop at your pub, in case a whipped and stumpy dog bit my ankles and a skinhead, tattoed to within an inch of his IQ, nutted me and nicked me bike.

You know those aprons that make you look like you're a lady wearing only a bra and knickers?* Does anyone do a jersey like that?

*This assumes you're not a lady wearing only a bra and knickers, in which case the apron is redundant.

Try ebay. It's a Bienne jersey and they even do matching bib shorts!

My husband has that Saltire jacket - I bought it from the LBS as a surprise - he was well pleased. It's great quality too  .

I bought it from Sandy Wallace Cycles in Inverkeithing if you're anywhere near.

That is definitely going to be my next bike related purchase. :D

Just need to wait on some funds first though ... :(

I'd probably start wearing it off the bike too.

I think you should shave your upper body and paint on the design you really want, the "total skinsuitjersey wiv paint experience" is what i refer to it as. Think of the aero-ness of it. People will think you are nails. No more washing of jersey. Six pack for everyone to see. The chicks will flip for you.

    Do it.

I'm gonna do it too, but I'm originally from glasgow so I'll probably tattoo mine on with indian ink and a sharpened bic pen tube for the "personal just outta barlinnie touch".

I am in a really good mood tonight.

I bought mine in Dales on Dobbies Loan, but I don't see it in their on-line shop. They also had them in the window of Craig McMartin's on Pollockshaws Rd. I'd expect that most LBSs'll have them as I see them everywhere.

Ooh, cool. :) Might pop into Dales next time I'm in town, or go to Craig McMartin's tomorrow - it's not that far from my work. :) I'm sure I'll find some money somewhere. :P
