Well i'ts taken what seems like forever, but the Girlfriends Avalanche 3.0 is almost finished, i'm still waiting on some parts but all going well it should be rideable by tuesday / wedneday, so I thought i'd upload some pics for the critics amoungst you to comment on, oh and yes she likes red, ALOT, i'll put a spec and prices up when the build is complete, but it's approximately a £650 build, weight wise, i have no idea so far.
Apologies if the images are slightly out of focus, the phone camera isnt to great

That would look really nice.
What rims are those? And I quite like the red seatpost.
And you must put red pedals.0 -

The rims are Rigida XM280, with the Shimano Deore Hubs, they probably wont last to long if she canes the bike but for 80quid for the entire wheelset i think theyre pretty good, and she wants as much as she can in red so dont be surprised to see red pedals hehe, i got a major delay in finishing the build today as the gear cables are out of stock, and the avid juicy 5's are still in transit from the U.S0 -

Woops, the images have vanished, ah well, anyway after a year i finally got the the gf's bike finished and took her and a couple of friends up to pontypridd via the taff trail on sunday, a few gear slips but nothing a little fiddle won't cure, surprised how light the bike is. Oh and the pedals and seat were her choice, she's suffering the sore butt now though after riding with that seat
