This morning I was in a bit of trouble. I needed to dry my washed clothes but ran out of space on the clothes horse.
Queue the bikes I turned to my trusty steed and they are great! perfect for drying clothes. So for those amongst us who are trying to justify that £2000+ for the carbon marvel lurking in the garage, here is your answer. Tell whoever does the washing in your household that it was well worth the money and let it multi task!!

Trouble is it's a self fulfilling prophecy, the more bikes you get the more matching bike clothes you need hence the more washing and hence the more clothes horses errrrrm I mean bikes you need........ I think you've hit on something.0

You won't find me hanging wet clothes over a carbon bike unless I wanted it to look like this!

Your winter bike should be used for drying wet clothes, having mudguards it's ideal for getting wet.0

Clothes mate, clothes. Not plate armour!Making a cup of coffee is like making love to a beautiful woman. It's got to be hot. You've got to take your time. You've got to stir... gently and firmly. You've got to grind your beans until they squeak.
And then you put in the milk.0 -
How the hell did that bike get in that state? The guy who was riding it must be dead!0

Only 4 bikes :oops:bagpuss0

Known fault? Do cannondales cycle themselves into a busy road?0
-
What a loada tosh! My carbon Focus Cayo has been out in rain, snow and washed down with soapy water and doesn't look like that! Whe you say it got wet, did you leave it in a puddle in the middle of a dual carriageway in front of an 18 wheeler?Do not write below this line. Office use only.0

left it out in the rain. It's a known fault with all cannondales.
You say 'known fault', Cannondale say 'design feature'.Making a cup of coffee is like making love to a beautiful woman. It's got to be hot. You've got to take your time. You've got to stir... gently and firmly. You've got to grind your beans until they squeak.

He's joking, it' obviously being in a bad crash. If that happened from leaving a bike out in the rain then you'd also not be able to ride the bike in the rain for the possibility of that happening0

Will, Aluminium Cannondales have been frequently known to rust when wet. Be careful using it in bad weather!0 -

Aluminium, rust? Are you sure about that? Still, I'm taking no chances, I will be using my plastic coated steel clothes horse for drying duties...0 -
My 'Dale is fine, that one was just a bit unlucky, mine lives basically outside all year round and ridden in all conditions. I'll let you know(maybe) when it looks like that :shock:winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

Obviously, the one above is a carbon system six, the CAAD9s rust and the frames get perforated after about 3 months of winter use, then crack and fail.0

Mine don't, my frame is awesome, 3 months on and its doing great.0

Last time I checked it was only the Americans that stop racing carbon fiber racing cars when it gets a bit moist. Even FIAT (Ferrari) manage to keep racing.Do Nellyphants count?
Commuter: FCN 9
Cheapo Roadie: FCN 5
Off Road: FCN 11

cannondales can't be ridden in the US on July 4th due to copyright issues with the bill of independance.
