Another annoying noise

When i pedal i can feel and hear a slight crunch. The chain is clean. The bike is 1 year old....Marin Mount Vision 08
It is in certain positions. When i feel/hear it I can reverse my pedalling action and can "replay" the problem by pedalling forward again
Cant suss it out!!!
Any ideas?
