Been looking around for a Camelbak and have came up with these 4

http://www.evanscycles.com/products/cam ... k-ec010657

Any forumites own any of these, please share your experiences or if anybody has seen them cheaper elsewhere let me know. Im edging towards the Scubo on price alone however it just doesnt look as good or slimline/light as the others.
I will be mainly using it for XC/TRAIL riding. Obviously to carry water but also looking for space for tube, multitool, levers, small first aid kit, waterproof jacket, food, wallet, ipod, phone etc. May also use it for my commute so will need to fit a pair of shorts and a polo shirt in .

I have a Blowfish, very good bit of kit can fit lots of stuff in it without expanding it too. (3 tubes, puncture kit, multi tool, tyre pump, shock pump, gaffer tape, zip ties, mech hanger, chain links, power links, showerproof jacket, cereal bars, Haribo Tangfastics.... & still plenty of room!)
The Scudo looks pretty good and is a lot cheaper.0 -

Yeah it does, however just checked reveiw on this site and it didnt get good write up. It looks cheap as well. Crossed the Scudo off the list.
Theres just so many different options. :?
Just found this cheaper than wiggle

Yeah, I hear what your saying, I just get even more confused if I start looking at different brands. Ideally looking to pay no more than £50. I also like he designs of the Camelbaks.Boardman Hybrid Pro

I'd look at the chaos, carrys a tonne of stuff and with the straps on the outside you can add really large things too.0

The Mule would be the default option there, mine's pretty old but still works perfectly, lots of space and a 3l reservoir. Probably one of the most common camelbaks and for good reason.
But 3 litres is pretty big, my normal bag is a Chaos like ride_whenever and it's mint... 2 litre bottle which is enough for me for most rides (almost drained it today on a 4 hour ride but then, it was boiling hot, good storage options... The cargo capacity isn't vast but it's more than enough for me- proper sized pump, 2 inner tubes, small toolkit, food, and still enough room for a bulky jacket or raincoat. And very unintrusive on my back, I more or less forget it's there. And all the expansion straps means I can attach all my pads, or a waterproof, or some other random bit of kit, or a helmet... Dead easy.
It does feel a wee bit overstuffed when everything's full- the reservoir can make the back bow out a bit so it doesn't sit as well- but that's such a trivial issue I can forgive it. It's a very nice pack.Uncompromising extremist0 -

Northwind - Just looked at the Chaos, seems a good bag, just not keen on the aesthetics of it though. I agree 3ltr is a big'un, I could buy another resevoir say a 2 ltr & switch em couldnt I??? The mule looks favourite. Gonna have another scout around
BFG - nice bag, just a bit out of my £££ rangeBoardman Hybrid Pro

I had just a dribble left of my 3l Mule yesterday, but it was hot and I was out for 6 hours (running, biking and kayaking). In other 6 hour races I've drunk just 0.5l. So it all depends what type of riding you are doing.Paul0

The Chaos does come in black, olive and light brown, not just the horrible bolts and bones, btwUncompromising extremist0

Just changed my old Camelbak to the new Mayhem
Plenty of space small on the back.
Plenty of fexablilty and yes has 3 litres but you dont have to fill it
up for a shorter ride.
Also you have a soft pocket above for the Mp3 /phone0 -

Really? Right-o! Probably better ignore any suggestions I make then, we're obviously from different planets taste wise I think it looks like my gran's curtains.
Was taking the pi55 Northwind, it looks worse than my grannies curtains & she's been dead 6 year.

Ive got a Camelback Mule. For what you said you're going to use it for, the Mule is for you. Its got excellent compartments in the front for first aid, multi tool etc and also a bigger compartment for your shorts and even more. Also a special iPod compartment. Eventhough its pretty large trail bag its a tight fit to the body and excellent for a day ride but not a blast on the mountain.Giant XTC SE 2006
