I am in the market for a mid-range HT MTB, back to biking after a number of family years in the widerness,

Looked at some sweet candy, but cannot make a decision, to much choice!

Looked at Cube - LTD/pro-race, Trek - 6 Series, Specialized - Rockhooper, Orange -Crush/P7s, Lapierre, Felt, Marin, etc etc & on on!

My budget is Between £750.00 - £1000.00

Help needed?

Regards F-Irish.

    What kinda riding do you do?? Because that will affect the travel you'll want.
  • I will use the bike mainly as a fitness aid intially ,untill I feel more comfortable with the bike.

    Then I would like to go offroad, trials etc with my two sons, they are 24 & 20 yrs old.

    Regards

    Another bike worth considering is the Boardman Pro;

    Have a look at the Orange Evo8 too. Check my sig

    Awesome bike, the crush would be too much for what you want it for.

    Plus you can pick the Evo up cheaper (08 model)

    +1 (but I would say that :lol: , see sig).

    Seriously though, definitely worth considering. I picked mine up a few days ago and for the money, its probably one of the lightest and well spec'd bikes available for under a grand. That said, if it doesn't fit you then all of that is useless....have you tried any yet ?

  • try them all and see what suits you the best - also if the shop(s) you go to provide you with good advice and ongiong support, give them your custom (assuming they can provide you with the bike that works for you).

    I am biased as you will see from my signature down below.... :D
