Have noticed this guy's form in the mountains in past GTs, and he's going well here. But... what's he doing at AG2R? Isn't he exactly the kind of guy Cadel (for example) should be trying to persuade his bosses to sign? Looks like a great mountain domestique (he's not going to win a GT) with no leader to ride for.

    Lotto can't afford many more expensive riders. The ones they have at the moment do sfa, and lotto are stuck with the perrenial problem that they have GC ambitions, but, being a flemish team, have to put up a good classics show.

    Yeah. And didn't they know about it!

    There were pretty bad football esq stories coming out of the Lotto "changing room" (i.e. the team bus).
