Weird Specialized tyre problem

Hi
I've just purchased 2 'The Captain Control' tyres for my Rockhopper to replace my winter trailrakers. I've fitted them but can't get them to line up straight on the rim, it gives the effect of pulling the tyre to one side and making the spinning wheel appear buckled. I've tried talc in tyre so the tube isn't getting caught, also pumping it up in stages and moving the tyre from side to side and nothing helps. It appears that the tyres have been molded slightly too small, the edging on the tyre that should run inline all the way round the rim is partly obscured. Odd that both tyres are doing this, I've never had this issue in 20 years of riding. Am I missing something?

you are lucky if this is the first time you have had this problem.
it is actually quite common on many tyres.
keep trying and maybe over inflate it to get it to seat."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Yeah I've tried inflating to 65 PSi but it made no difference at all.Gabba Gabba Hey0

never had this problem with Specialized tyres, only Kenda, I blow them up to max pressure then release air to desired pressure,0

If the over-inflating doesn't get them to pop try soapy water to help them slide into place0

I get this all the time with Specialized tyres when using tubes
Fortunately I'm running them tubeless at the moment, they always pop into the bead very easily.
Quite a lot of tyres seem to do it, my Schwalbe slicks do it worst I think. Fortunately I can grab those with a pair of mole grips and pull them into position, sounds a bit dodgy but works every timeWith the Specialized + tubes I just deflate, fiddle about, reinflate too high, try again etc.

Pump them up to 85psi, I have a set of Kendas 2.35's with tubes and they wont pop on to the rim without an absurd amount of air in them. The tell tale PING will scare the crap out of you but then you doos what ya gotta doos..........all

try a strap."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
