No excuse, going on my first club run since I broke my leg today.0

I'm not riding because it has been raining VERY hard since about two o clock this morning (it's now 7.20pm)!!! Seriously, we're talking stair rods, all bloody day. I'm hoping it jacks it in before 6am tomorrow so I can get out.

Because I'm riding tomorrow and the day after, which means I've got to do all the weekend chores today -- in fact I only went online to check the weather forecast, so what am I doing here in the forums? Arghh.0

My university final exams are on the forthcoming Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Revision!Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.0

I'm racing tomorrow...Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

My wife is shopping in York leaving me home alone with my 20 month old daughter. That in itself is a pleasure but seeing people riding past is making me feel sad!!
Because wifey is only back tomorrow lunchtime it means Im missing the club run as well. Ah well, I suppose she "let" me do the Etape Caledonia with my mates last weekend!!0 -
broke my arm last night. already bored, and pissed off about not riding0

the weather isn't the same everywhere you know! Looks like it could p!ss down at any moment here, warm tho.
I'll be out on monday btw0 -
bike is still in 2 bits after a fight with a van earlier in the week."Bed is for sleepy people.

....still recovering from hernia op .....so looking forward to just riding a bit and building fitness....appreciate it while you've got it0

Had to do the shopping bit today, and got a few jobs to get done after dinner (although have a banging headache at the moment). Will be out tomorrow for 50-60 miles and Monday for a 2 hour light spin.Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0

Perfect day? It started pouring down 9 minutes into a 55 mile ride. Of course, I cut it short once I was soaked through and started to go numb. It might make you feel hardcore, but it's not any fun.
So after the Giro finished, I decided to change my 53T ring for a 50T, and now the front mech is being a pain in the butt. What a crappy day.

first ride out in 9 days after my left wrist met pavement. tho i have no excuse as i have all the waterproofs needed. lovely sunset and blue sky made it worthwhile nearing the end.0

Maybe not riding tomorrow Track pump just given up the ghost, and can't get anywhere near enough pressure from the mini pump.Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0

Because I have a golf ball sized abcess right on my sit bone that makes even sitting in a comfy chair agony. I'm on antibiotics for it so I can't even get drunk to numb the boredom. It's looking like it'll be a couple of weeks at least til I'm back in the saddle.0

Meniscus tear last month is causing me considerable pain/discomfort - not exactly over the moon at the moment - did a bit this morning (5 am) - in pain though - looks like it's going to be a good day weather-wise.0

Because on Tuesday we took delivery (can't think of a better expression, in these hurried times) of our 2 adoptive children.
I thought at 8am saying 'ok luv, it's a cracking morning, so I'll be home at lunchtime', would get somewhat frowned upon.0 -
Congratulations PostieJohn!!
I got tan lines from my 51 mile ride yesterday0 -
Recovering from an 'off' on Wednesday night, banged up my shoulder, badly bruised my ribs and cracked my thumb, so looks like no riding for a few weeks......bugger......'Hello to Jason Isaacs'0

Aha!
WENT riding this morning! Just 2 hours, during which approximately 40mm of rain fell on me, according to the local observatory. It was like riding through a car wash - nice and warm though - 25 degrees.Head Hands Heart Lungs Legs0 -

I did get out today, courtesy of whyamihere The wife did question my sanity when, just as she was going to bed at 11 last night I was putting the bike in the back of the car to go and borrow a pump. Was worth it though - not a cloud in the sky and 20+degreesCarlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0 -
I'm still recovering from my AC shoulder joint separation. Physio is going well but slow. Still can't get enough range of motion in left arm to signal for a left turn and shoulder joint feels v odd when walking. Gutted as I did all the hard commuting and cycling over the winter
Howevr, I went to the gym for the first time since the accident (mid-March) yesterday and had a go on the bike. Bit one handed in terms of reach but enjoyed it - though amazed how quickly the fitness has vanished Good bit of self-service physio in the pool later though.
Really can't wait to get back on board - just don't tell the wife...Pain is only weakness leaving the body0 -
Thanks ND, it's taken the best part of 2 years to get to this week.
Most of which the bike has been a fantastic stress realease, so I can't complain about a few weeks off now.0 -
Bad knee, so have been off the bike for two weeks giving it a chance to improve. Hopefully back on the bike again in the next week or two.0
