Im loosely following sonics guide to build your own hard tail
http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtop ... rame+build
and im a little lost on bottom bracket sizing, found a fair deal on a crankset on ebay but with no bb. I started to search ebay for a octolink bb, i found loads but there seems to be mutiple sizes, so how do i mearure? I know the width of the frame is 68mm but how do i find the axel size? :?:

sorry is a splined Octalink fitting or is it a Square taper fitting?

the FC M440 comes in either fitting.

So it is the Octalink crankset.

    Not the Square taper crankset.

Ok does not seem to be one that needs a crazy long axle to give a normal chain line.

    So 113mm for a 47/50mm chain line.
