Stem angles

Do particular manufacturers tend towards one stem angle? Am I right in saying that? I notice Ritchey and Deda seems to be quite flat whereas Cinelli seem to be steeper. Is a couple of degrees even noticeable!?

Most manufacturers make 6deg stems. Normally the "higher level" stems are offered in 10deg or 17deg versions too.

From an aesthetic point of view I think a 10deg stem looks best, 6deg looks like it's pointing skyward slightly too much, and 17deg stems just look like you've gone and got a bike with a headtube that's too long.
    I like bikes...

Here is a quick diagram I made when I was buying a new stem to help understand the differences. It shows flipped and unflipped angles based on a head tube angle of 73 degrees.
