Not a Giro, but on my fox Flux I just use zip ties on the helmet mount. I use 4 on each side of the bracket, miles better than the straps they give you....

I woudn't bother...but if you do, then use the longer velcro bit to loop round the venst in the centre, using one of the rubber inserts under the mounting clip, which I think needs to be facing side ways.

.I did have this setup but removed it as its crap so can't remember rightly and can't take a photo for you..

you really need to go over with some electrical tape or smilar to really get it firm as even tyhe slightest wobble in the mount will produce unwatchable rubbish once out riding.

when i put it on my giro helmet, i use the velcro strap to secure it as much as i can around 2 vents, and then i use electrical tape as a kind of guy rope (like a tent) to some other vents in the helmet. do 2 coming off the front going out to the left and to the right, and then the same on the back. im yet to work out how to attach it to my full face helmet as the vents have mesh in them!

I've just bought one of these helmet cams, do you have any pics of the positioning you've set the camera on your helmet. I've tried it on the bars, went out a ride & found it pointed at the ground all the time  Its a Fox Flux helmet i've got & want the best positioning possible :D
