Head torches as bikelights?

Hi folks
Anyone used a head torch as a bike light substitute? I'm trying to get some evening cycles in and (because I'm slow and poor at timekeeping) I quite often find it's a little dusky by the time I get back. Need to buy a head torch anyway for an upcoming camping trip, and have seen some that look as if they'd do the job. I also switch bikes a fair bit.
Oh, and would the boys in blue consider having a bulb strapped to your noggin as a suitable alternative?
Thanks in advance

A useful addition, but not an alternative. Think about it....More problems but still living....0

No head torches arent going to give you enough light.
You can use a normal(ish) torch as a light though. Tesco were selling a two AA LED torch for a tenner, and you need a lockblock to clamp it onto the bars.
Bright and you can use it for camping too.0 -
You could always just strap the head torch to your bike of course - then it'd be like any other LED - though you can get cheap enough bike LEDs with brackets that are pretty easy to swop over between bikes.
it's a hard life if you don't weaken.0
