Van Nicholas Seat post Saddle Fitting

I've fitted a saddle to one of these posts and they can be tricky. Ideally, you need three hands to do it....

Not much chance of doing damage - the rear of the post opens out, although you can't see it on that pic...

Yeah, like softlad says, the rear of the clamp opens up and it's a bit tricky. I used inserted a big F.O. straight bladed screwdriver and twisted it to open the clamp far enough for me to "back and rotate" the saddle rails into the guides inside the clamp. Good luck.

I do not want to use too much force for fear of breakage

Please let me know your tips

tip:

return it, get a USE sumo- bit priceier but much better made and easier to fit/adjust. only about 10mm setback tho
