Just spent a week down the road in a nice cottage in Porthleven (yep - same county! Needed grandparent babysitting help!). Not only did I score the reef working (surf) but had loads of great riding. Some on my own, some with my lovely wife.

Bike was brilliant and loved every minute of it.

Got a tri on Saturday and due to a dodgy hip, I'm not really "allowed" to run so I can only really cycle until the event (done loads of running training up until recently though).

Few photo highlights but all camera phone so sorry about the quality!

Empty beach and a great run up a dry stream bed on the other side:

Not a bad track to ride on!

Mrs Matt and our bike on a nice super hilly 17 miler:

Me looking cheesy and daft:

Is that a pasty you're munching on Matt? :D

I had a cracking weekend - Afan on Saturday then a long, sunny, local club ride on Sunday. Good times.

Timmo - it's Leven to Mullion Cove (two pics are of the actual cove) - bit of road but lots of singletrack.

Did the Leven - Helston track (around Loe Pool) and then rode into a BIGGEST crowd ever as it was Flora Day so headed back on the other (East) side sharpish. Some of the best riding I've done (not me - the route!). Mixed, challenging, hilly, only two people seen in 9 miles, etc.

We must all head down there soon! Used an OS map to make sure all the paths were legit. Some were a bit borderline but I was stupidly over polite to any walkers to relieve any guilt!

stupidly Over polite is my theory to Anyone you see!! haha! although the family out for a wak along the 'Quiet' track - unmade road that leads down the valley into the village and up tother side were not overly impressed when 14 mtb'ers Came Flying past Shouting Afternooon!
the fathers face changed from shocked to seethign as we came past!! ooooops!

There was an old couple who looked at me like I was a hoody wearing yob wielding a butterfly knife but I think they were the exception. Everyone else was fine.

Off road triathlon this weekend - yikes!

Gay class - my first tri so thought I'd better no be too ambitious.

Plus I'm doing physio for a slightly fecked hip and back (trapezius/lat) so not expecting much! Should be good though.

I'm doing the open water swim one (Sprint distance)

Mark - cheers. Not been able to get any swim training in (just lots of surfing) thanks to repeated sinusitis which pool water seems to really aggravate. I went for a swim yesterday (in the pool with a nose clip) and wasn't very good...

Luckily I seem to swim a lot better in open water - no idea why. But I might well need to do a small amount of another stroke (doggy paddle?!) if i run out of puff.

Should be okay on the cycling and running - I hope.
