Continental Supersonic Speed Kings and Punctures

Hey all,
I’ve just replaced my old Speed Kings with 2.3 Supersonic versions. I’ve been really impressed with the their speed and grip but have had an alarming number of punctures since fitting them; 2 during a 30 mile ride on Saturday, and another 2 on a 50 mile ride yesterday.
I’m just wondering if I’ve just been seriously unlucky this last week or if other people have had similar problems. I realise that they are ultra light tyres and more susceptible to flats, but 4 in a week is a lot! I’ve been looking at self sealing innertubes, but then there is the weight penalty to consider, would like to know if other people have used these kind of innertubes? I ride XC, and race a fair bit too.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I really like these tyres, very thin and light, but this does make them a bit more prone to puncturing
I use Panaracer XC Pro's when the punctures get bad on my routes, although I tend to find (around me locally) that this tends to be a seasonal thing?*Rock Lobster Team Tig SL (22lb 14oz)
