Can anyone tell me how you work gear ratios into inches?
For instance i ride a singlespeed road bike with a 42 tooth chainring and a 16 tooth cog.
What's that in inches?

If this is in relation to underage gearing, its usually the distance the wheel travel for one crank revolution.0

ex 52 x 13 = 108" 42 x 21 = 54".
That used to be the standard top and bottom gears on the old racing bikes years ago0 -
