Help deciding

I've got the option to take up the cycle to work scheme bit our limit is £600. I want the bike for xc on the weekends and commuting to work as and when.

Ive narrowed it down to 3 model and I just wanted some opinions.

- specialized rockhopper disc
- cube aggression
- genesis core 1.0

Also on the list is genesis core 2.0 as i've seen it on sale for £600 but its doubtful they will be able to get it within my budget.

Out of the above is there any that you would steer away from or is the obvious favourite, just im struggling to make my mind up.

Unfortunately I will have to rule out the cube and the core 20 as they are unable to get hold of them.

So it's between the rockhopper and genesis 10... Any opinions about which the better machine?

The genesis, ill be able to check out on Sunday but unfortunately the specialized dealer is shut on Sunday which is my only dayoff for the next few weeks.

The Core 20 is reduced even more and they are part of the cycle to work scheme. Assuming it's the same one you're company has signed up they may be able provide a quote and then ship to you.

I have been told that if you try the Core 10 out it will feel pretty similar to the Core 20. Don't take my word for that as I am a newbie though.
