Swapping Chainrings
Hey there,
Am I right in thinking that if I change my 53T ring to a 50T ring, I won't have to make any adjustments to the front derailleur?
Cheers

That will also mean adjusting the cable as lowering will change the length needed to reach the mech0

Ok, thanks.

Also make sure that the BCD is the same on both sets of chainrings! (Traditionally one uses a 110 bolt diameter - the other a 130). Some chainring manufacturers will make the rings in 50 and 53 in both sizes for an easy swap, but 'name brand' manufacturers don't (like Shimano, Sram, etc).0

Yes, the chainrings are identical. One is SRAM Rival, and the other a Truvativ, but the only difference is those 3 teeth.
It's quite surprising really, that a £550 bike has the same chainrings as a >£1k bike. Maybe it keeps costs at SRAM down.
Cheers
