Stem Height

Could someone please tell me if the height of the stem can affect ride/handling ?

I understand that the stem length can affect ride drastically and recently I changed the stem length to a shorter one and have now lost confidence in my front end and am looking for answers..

    How do you mean height? as in headset spacers?

    any change on you bike will affect the ride in some way. if your playing around with your cockpit its going to affect your handling.

    i find the best and only way is to experiment with diffrent lenghts and degrees of stems and then the spacers underneeth the stem.
