Going clipless

Hi im buying my first set of clipless pedals and shoes do i need to buy shoes pedals and the relevant cleats for the pedal or do the shoes come with a particular cleat?
Ive got my eye on look pedals but shimano shoes is this possible?

    Cleats always come with the pedals, not the shoes. You can use any combination of brands providing the shoes have the correct bolt holes for the chosen cleats.

    Yes I think they will, the shoes have 3 bolt fittings which = SPD-SL compatible.

    im just over a 44 should i get a 45 do cycling shoes come up small generally?

    there is no answer to that other than "try them on first"....

    The sizing often seems small, in Shimano I needed 47 instead of my usual 45, Northwave 46, only Specialized fitted me in 45. No experience of the ones you are looking at. But of course the best idea is to try on instore (as above).
