whats the best way to get rid of the sticky residue thats left when u remove stickers without ruining the paintwork

    ^^^ or an alcohol wipe, like you'd find in a 1st aid kit.

    Isopropanol alcohol works great... tho that maybe the same as on the 1st aid wipes :p

    I've always found that your gf's / mums / your ( :shock: ) nail polish remover works well. Gets the sticky residue off too. Make sure it's that acetone one tho!

    Acetone can eat some painted finishes though, it's quite potent. WD40/GT85 works well for minor stickers (WD40 is basically dry cleaning solvent), isopropyl alcohol is a bit better, for really evil, gooey stuff paraffin is the best in my experience.

    Northwind, well metioned. Heard that before. Meant to say, before anyone ruins a nice paintjob...

    I've had no such problems with it though, so it's why I didn't think..
