Crud Catcher & Specialized Rockhopper Question

Hi Everyone, just got my new rockhopper pro 2009, been doing a little accessory shopping today and noticed the new 2009 range of crud catchers, I used to have one of these on my old Giant MTB, but I'm not sure if these will fit my new rockhopper as the gear cables run down the underside of the frame where the crud guard attaches to.

Has anyone encountered this problem with their bike?, or can suggest another guard that stops mud flicking up in my face and stones hitting my frame.

    If im right there shaped with a gap between the down tube so the cables are protected

    so the new cruds should fit then mate without causing any problems with the gear cables?

    if so I'll pop back to the shop tomorrow and pick one up :)
