Team clothing?

Can anyone tell me if Pro cycling team clothing is generally any good? Such as Milram, Cofidis, Quickstep etc, like you see on PBK? Or is it like buying a football shirt, overpriced and not that great? Or does it differ from team to team depending on who manufactures their stuff? Am looking at tops and shorts mostly.
Cheers.

It's actually not bad! My Francaise des Jeux shorts are one of my most comfy pairs.

Unlike football shirts, the pro team kits are to be used for their intended sport, not for casual wear...

    I like them a lot.!

Helps if you get a matching cotton cap  .

If you are not worried about what you look like, I have generally found that dated (eg 2007-2008) team kit is cheaper than non-team kit, and seems to be highly effective in what it is intended to do. I have bought a couple of pro jerseys from Pro bike kit, including Caisse D'epargne's Valverde spanish champion, and a very fetching belgian champion quick step jersey. Both of which the wife approves of, which is nice. c£20/£30 each, which seems reasonable. They have held their colours very well despite a number of washes.

Slimmish fitting, which if nothing else does create an incentive to stop drinking so much

The 2009 kits seem to have had a bit of a price hike to around £50 per jersey, but as Starwasp said, you can pick up previous seasons kits much cheaper at places like Probikekit.com & Prendas.

Once you know your correct size, there is also tons of pro team kit on Ebay which is cheap.

Still just weighing stuff up at the mo. I'm on a bit of a spending spree. Got bike, pedals, and bib shorts on order, and still after more clothing, and shoes! Nothing i've ordered goes with the bianchi, only the ribble which should be here in a week or two. I'm being a complete BT, and very fussy on what stuff looks like! I just can't help it!

The Cervelo Team Team kit seems to be of Castelli's usual high quality.

I have a pair of US Postal shorts and long sleeve shirt which are both still in good condition after intermittent wear over the past four years.

    Can we fix it?
    Yes we can!
