Hello there.
I have an excellent Merlin Malt 4 frame in white, and am now looking for the best forks option for it. Please, please could anyone advise me on which one to buy? – ie Which ones needs less service?

Im looking for either new or used forks with U-turn and lock options. White forks would be better, but Id consider black as a possibility. I’m a huge fan of rock shox products, but if there are any better brands out there, which ones would you recommend?

I don’t really do much downhill cycling, but I pretty much cycle everywhere – so Im hoping to keep within a suspension budget of £400. Any advice in this area would be much appreciated!!!

Thanks

edit; The Catch!! The steerer length is 185mm
    maybe too short?

just measured mine (malt4) might be able to get away with it with a short stack headset and a short stack stem, might even get a 5-10mm spacer under it too. would need to get the calculator out before buying all three items to make sure.

or reba race + pushloc for £315

Magura Durin 100 in white...though not sure you can get one for under 400 notes.

but rebas probably best cost wise.

JUst have visited RS official site. Not really clear which one is better Reba Race, Team, SL or Revalation 426 Dual Air U-turn. Is u-turn ery usefull? What is better U-turn or Motion Control? What the difference between them? What the difference between cross country, trail and all mauntain?? Sorry for being a dummy, but here we are.
Thank you very much for help

The dual-air rev u-turn has motion control as well. Great trail fork, I have last year's and it's a holy grail of light-ish, strong-ish and good. But it's a 110mm to 140mm fork, so I'm not sure if it'll work too well for your frame? I know my mate's Malt 4 runs 110mm. It seems a strong frame but if it's not designed for the longer travel then the u-turn will be a waste.

Team is better than Race. For an XC bike get air forks.
