105 chainrings

Hello,

I've got a Shimano 105 square-tapered triple-ring (5 arm) 9-speed bike. The big chainring has got got slightly malformed around two of the studs and I think this is the cause of my gear-skipping issues. After lots of cleaning and tuning I finally noticed the issue with the chainring!

So, I need a new one but don't really want to fork out a load of cash on this but would quite like a 52 tooth replacement. Any suggestions? I get a bit lost with all the possibilities so could do with a little help please?

And now I think of it, what exactly is the difference between an A and a B type Shimano chain ring?

What's the BCD of your big two rings? 110mm or 130mm?

Stronglight and TA make (generally cheaper) alternatives to the Shimano chainrings.

I thought you made mugs out of ceramic, but then I'm not a materials scientist! Can I use it to drink tea out of when I'm having a break?

I was thinking about £30 so the one above is looking good to me!
